I am building a Night Heron and so far have successfully managed to create the strong back and forms. I am now ready to start stripping!

I have short strips (8') that I ordered via UPS rather than than full lenght. So, I planned to scarf a few together for the shear. PROBLEM # 1: my scarfs do now seem to be strong enough for the curve of the shear. I am using the narrow strips. I could create a stronger scarf using the wider strips, but, PROBLEM #2: the wide strips don't seems to be able to bend to fit the shear of the Night Heron.

Any thoughts?
