You can scale s-n-g plans uniformly. that is a contsant scale fractor for length and a constant scale factor for girth (Width of panels)
the proportion between lenght scale and girth scale sould be near 1 to keep the peices fitting properly. With a kayak the added lengh in a pannel which accounts for its wrapping around the ends is small so errors will develop if you try to make a long skinny boat into a short stout one.
