The average resawing bandsaw is a bit on the large size, or at least at the lumber yards. They just have a very wide blade. They do the same thing that your average saw will do, only 1,000 times better. No blade wobble or turning. No cutting at an angle to get a straight cut.??? ( any saw set up right shouldn't do that anyway ) The blades are usually around 3" or wider. Problem is, those saws take out a pretty wide swipe and leave a fairly rough surface. Lots of wasted material if you are only looking for 1/8" pieces.
