Lisa, thanks for the info. I purchased a 15 sq.ft. one line kite to try it next season. I saw two one-liner's being used last year- and they were able to tow the kayak faster than I could ever paddle.
I think that I'll use a fishing reel mounted to the deck. This will make it easier to reel in and there would be no strain on the arms, plus it will allow me to kep my hands "free". The multi-line kites certainly intrigue me, though.
