Oneida Air Systems is a very good source. I would also check out Baxter Enterprises in Prospect, Maine, (207)963-7023. I had my dealings with them before internet. They make fine felt filter bags in various configureations. They are very nice industrial bags. They also have an unbiased booklet on dust collection systems,(they don't sell any other components). This leads me to the post on not skimping on the blower. Although I would go with a larger filter area than most small dust collecters provide(many also use the bags for dust storage) The less filter area you have the greater the velosity of the air being pushed through and the more likely you are going to put the dust right back in the room. I have a 1 HP blower that is perfectly adequate for all of the machinery in the shop including a stationary planer. Chances are you will only be operating 1 machaine at a time. The meatel piping is great and makes it easy to ground the system. Baxter has a every good shop built 2 stage system design. That is 1 container for the large chips that is held in vacume by the blower then through the blower with the fines and into the filter bags with a bin or a barrel on the bottom so as not to rob filter space. One thing I do on my planer is pipe into a 55 GAL drum before going to the main collector. It is easier to empty the large volume of shavings it produces and they are always clean (no glues or other nasty stuff) These are the shavings I use in the garden and the chicken coop (they end up in the garden) The other stuff goes around land scaping plants. There is no waste with wood. Hope this wasn't too tedious or opinionated, Steve
