: I am wondering how you make your sanding fairing boards
: John
Back when his hippy days were ending a friend of mine gave me his home built water bed frame. I was after the 5/4 by 12" pine he used. Didn't know what to make of 1/4" white plexiglass "Mood Light" defusers. Twenty-five years later, I'm fairing a sailboat keel and need some flexible sanding boards. I think "plastic." I cut the plexiglass to use 3M's 3" wide PSA sanding rolls and attaced wooden handles with sheetrock screws through countersunk (countersinked?) holes in the underside. Boat very fast!
Because the sandpaper comes in rolls you can adjust the length of the board to your needs.
