Thanks for the California Chamber of Commerce response Rehd. My first choice was Englemann Spruce to build a lighter colored kayak for the Arizona summers but, I would have to buy a log and have it milled (not completely eliminated as an option). Redwood and Pine are easily available locally, I was just hoping. . .
