Defintely check out Phil Bolger's designs (d/b/a Phil Bolger & Friends). His plans are available at very reasonable prices through Herb Payson. I don't know if either is on the web but you can get a copy of Payson's "Instant Boats" from Amazon. These are basically multi-chine S&G designs that go together easily, use appropriate (that is, inexpensive) technologies and perform very well.
