Dale,
I used it on my boat and did not have any problem with glue or resin bonding to it, but it was difficult to bend and very difficult to twist. While I didn't bend it to the point of failure I had no problem with splintering and it was my impression that it would fail suddenly and clean, rather than a spintering fracture. It really does look good when finished .
Good luck,
Nick
: I was wondering if any of you have worked with bubinga.
: If so, does it bend easily when cut in strips or does it crack or splinter?
: Does glue and resin bond to it easily without any special preparations?
: Does it look good when it's finished? It's hard to tell what the final color
: of some woods will look like before their finished with resin and varnish.
: Thanks,
: Dale
