Ditto the recommendation on Vaclav's (sp?) site...great comparison

I used West Systems on my first S&G and had no issues with it other than the fact that I used the 206 hardner which can eventually cloud a bit. (For bright finished boats, West recommends the 207 hardner.) I used 6 oz. glass and didn't have any problems wetting out the fabric, making smooth fillets, etc. West Systems also has some excellent on-line help and how-to booklets...good reading no matter what epoxy you decide to use.

I'm just starting my second S&G and I'm using the MAS epoxy ('cause that's what came with the kit) and yes, it has much lower viscosity and the slow hardner is slooooow (but it can be combined with their "fast" hardner to speed things up a bit).

I've not used it, but the RAKA blended epoxy gets good marks from other posters on this BB and it's quite economical. I believe their web address is www.raka.com.

Good luck!
