I confess to just looking up geodesics and grabbing the first basic notion I could understand. I beg forgiveness

but bucky, even tho' all these members are slightly bent and shouldn't be, dont they resolve to somewhat 60deg banlance vertexes. and since al the members are as flat as possible aren't we close to aligned joints.

so bucky, what do think about the IDEA.

Going home on the bus on friday nite, I was musing about having snap overlapping joints around the middle, pulling 2 opposing dacron socks off, snapping off the stringers and folding them up in 2 ft sections, and with bothe halves of the yak standing upright poking in the air on their 'ctr' joins, just pushing down. And each of the frames resolving into a tight mass of concentric circles. Would be probably be too hard with more than one spiral, but do you like the image?
