I was wondering if you decided to go out of the wood yak'in business,
or will you ever build another one.

about your question:
I did what you're talking about. I have a 3 pieces coho (s&g) .
it's lots of work doing it, almost like making another yak.
I based my work on the article published in sea kayaker magazine :
I don't have it with me so I can't tell you the name of the article
& the date it was published, but search their website.
If you don't find it then email them. I did & they helped me.
I used 12mm thick plywood for the joints, & not the foam/fg they recommend
in the article. I used 2 for each joint (ofcourse) & I covered each with
1 layer of leftover fg (both sides).
it came out very heavy & very strong !
I have pics I need to scan & post. I'm sure I'll do it in few years 8-P
that take-a-part thing is great !
