I know that this isn't the paddling technique board, but the picture above shows a poor high brace. You should never have your paddle over your head like that. Anytime you raise your arm high (and especially high and back behind your head) you are at the risk for shoulder dislocation. A high brace should be done with the paddle at neck level, but not above above the head. The arm opposite the brace side should be tucked near your chest.
Just had to comment since it's the second time I've seen that picture posted. Granted, he's on land, but still...
