Hi Bill

Not sure just how dark you want it, but, when you wet it out with epoxy resin,it will darken considerably. Since you have a kit it would be difficult to make a sample, but, any time you wet the surface it will darken. I would tell you to wet your plywood, but, some times wetting a spot will cause it to color different later on. There are other's on the BB that can show you samples of how the color changes and darkens.
