Hi Russ,
I printed this out to think about it later as I do much of you postings Russ. I did have a fixture figured out for drilling almost perfectly vertically dowell holes. Simply,, a wire would hang through the eye of an eye screw and when centered, the drill hole would be plumbed and not cause a lock.
