: Depot, I noticed a display for the Diablo line of blades from Freud. What
: caught my attention was that while the 10" blade had a fairly narrow
: kerf, the 7 1/4" blade was almost half as thick.

vermont-american makes a 7 1/4" "hollow ground planer" tablesaw blade that cuts the same kerf as my 1" wide resaw blade. as the name implies your strips come out looking like they have been run through a planer. they are also cheap as dirt. cut one boat worth of strips and toss the blade, it's done it's job!
