Outriggers

Want to start building my outriggers but no spruce or fir 2X4s in the area. Can get all the red cedar or pine in 2X4s, even white wood, but wanted to check if this would be strong enought. Figured I would laminate, maybe 1-1/4" dia. Even alternate the two. (Not the white wood)This is for a kayak I'm building to mostly fish out of. Like the Tribalance Kayak. Sit in to paddle, sit on to fish, stand up(maybe) to stretch. Also, what is the minimum radius for a 1", or 1-1/4" dia, 90 degree bend. Only got 9-1/2" overall to work with. Maybe a 45 degree bend would be better. The amas's are 32" long. My ears are wide open.

Mike Allen, thanks for your post back in October. Used most of your suggestions. i.e., bigger cockpit, then the hatch, then the bracing. Bob in Kansas
