In Response To: Only Slightly Off-Topic Question (Mike Scarborough)
: Does anyone know what the (WW II) British Spitfire airplane was constructed
: from? I seem to recall plywood being a component but I couldn't find any
: corroborating evidence after searching Spitfire sites on the Internet.
The British Mosquito bomber was built of plywood and spruce, but I think the Spitfre was of conventional aluminium construction.
