If you have two more of the same kind of graduated cup, check by pouring up to the 5 line three times on one cup, pouring into the second each time. You should be up to the 15 line. The graduations can be off quite a bit depending on where you got the cups. Any amount the graduations are off, it will result in much more error by pouring the hardner in first.

A putty knife followed by solvent is less messy. One other thought. In your efforts to cure it with heat, you may have it softened by heat. Let it cool down before trashing it.
