: Thanks, Greg
Hi Greg
The power is for the electric pump that pressurizes the lifts. It will raise up and down depending on the height of the builder and the particular project they happen.............
Ah Shucks, I can't do that...... Actually, I have 4 outlets on the bench, staggered two on each side. I wanted to be able to work around the bench with whatever power tools I'm using without having 4 or 5 extention cords wrapped around everything. Also, If you only have one cord, you spend a lot of time plugging and unplugging tools. This way you can use several tools and just leave them plugged in and lay them on the shelf underneath. One cord runs over to the wall and I just tape over it with duct tape to keep from tripping over it. All my workbenches I use are powered, and most have switches to shut them off in case the G-children are over and want to play around.
A bit anal I suppose, but, it works for me! I will be drawing up plans and so forth on the workbench for my website, if and when I ever get it up and running.
