Yo might want to review the archives for the months before that date (April 1, 1998). You could probably find his original posting, which was something on the order of yours
You might try e-mailing Paul Stomski for more information.
Say 'Hi' or 'Aloha' for us. While he was building his boat he was a generous contributor. I imagine the only reason we haven't hear from him recently is that he is too busy paddling.
