: I am doing a project on canoeing materials i am studying polyester resin
: could you give me any info it would really help thanks
I once used polyester resin to glass the plywood covering of my boat and it worked ok. What was unique about the PR I was using was the first specialized coat set up with a tacky tape like surface. Then you layed you glass on it and it held it in place while you put on a second and different PR coat that set the first coat up and it all became hard. I really liked it. I wish there was an epoxy product like that. This was a Sears product, many years ago. The conventional wisdom is epoxy will stick to polyester but polyester won't stick well to epoxy.
