No problem. As I said before it gets me half the way to the BWCA my self.
I'm just sorry I haven't gotten back to you on your last note. I'm trying to clear a flu out of this house first. I'll get back with ya when all are healthy.
Yeah I know both map series. THe W maps are great for shore lines, I like them. and probobly a little better for orienting yourself jsut on lake features However, they do little for what is on shore. The Lat longs are on therer but only on the corners and you have to use dividers to measure your way to the lat longs. More hassle then its worth in lake travel which is mostly dead reckoning.
The McKenzie Maps are a different story. first they have much mor topgraphic and land feature stuff. That is very help ful in orienting
The lat longs are printed right on their making GPS easier. Also they went one step further and that is the Makenzie maps are water proof and fire retardent.
they are much mor eexpensive, but... Well lets jsut say the store I bought mine was out of one W map series so I substituted the Meckenzie... and I've been using them ever since.
Sounds like your making progress in great leaps on that beautiful boat.
