I haven't used Port Orford cedar, but I have used Alaskan yellow cedar, which is similar. They are both prime boatbuilding woods. Sam Devlin in his boatbuilding book writes, "In boatbuilding heaven I would build boats made of Port Orford cedar plywood". As for kiln vs air dried, if both are well seasoned, they will have close to the same moisture content. I wouldn't worry about it. If you're still not sure, just send the stuff my way and that will take care of your problem :) Where did you get the wood?
