On the bottom kayak of the bottom picture of this page, you can kind of see how joe puts a solid piece of wood on the end of the kayak. Instead of wraping the strips up over the top, he cuts the end off and puts a block of wood on the end. Then he shapes it to match. Sorry the pictures are so dark. They loose a lot of brightness when being scanned. I really want/need a digital camera.
