Sometimes full size plans are a joke...I wanted a basic S&G rowboat, something a little more stable that a kayak, for fishing and excercise. After wasting far too many hours searching the internet, I purchased a set of plans...what a mistake! The "full size drawings" consisted of a sheet of illegible dots and dashes, and another with superimposed rectangles, paralellograms and other shapes without a key or legend to figure out what they represnted. A simple table of offsets would have been much more welcome, and basically that is what I'll have to create anyway from the few actual drawings that had some dimensions. (I'll leave the designer nameless)

FWIW, among the items I've actually purchased, the CLC plans and Nick's book are excellent. Skip the Cape Charles - buy the plans for a CLC Chesapeake LT (foredeck is too high on the regular Chesapeakes). (I feel better now that I've vented my $0.02 worth).
