Thanks for the info and the encouragement. I had actually been silently following your progress on the Merganser, when I was deciding which boat to build. Thanks for sharing. I can't wait to finish the kayak, and for the river to thaw. I currently have a very sedate Walden Vision kayak. It's great for small places, but anything but fast. I think the Merganser will be a real treat. I'm getting ready to glass the hull...it's only a matter of months now.
