: My question is whether I should
: just go ahead and glass 'er up as usual, figuring any differences in the
: film thickness will be hidden under the weave or whether I should try to
: carefully scrape any thick areas with a cabinet scraper prior to laying
: out the glass. I've pretty much ruled out sanding because I understand
: that can result in some uneven splotches of color that won't disappear
: under subsequent coats of epoxy. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Scrape and sand to get rid of the irregularities. If you sand in the direction of the grain, and stop the moment you detect any color changes, you should have little problem with color irregularities.
