Thanks to all for their knowledge and input.
Here is the plan.. I cut up some scrap 2x4 and drove the pieces into the hollow beam. It's now pretty solid at least verticaly. I will slide the forms on then do all the fussy leveling , support the beam in at least 4 spots and put a few stips on both sides. If I'm happy at that point I'll continue, if not --- a new beam will magicaly appear. My advice to other newbies Use 3/4 ply!!!
