: hello everyone!
: i've included a photo of my jig (if you can call it that) that i'll be making
: my coaming with. what i've done so far is get the outline of the coaming
: from off the plans and onto my deck . i'm building on the deck upside
: down, that way i'm certain not to goober up the topside. i then cut out
: some of the wood so i can gain enty to the interior of my boat. i then
: traced the pattern onto some cheap 3/4 particle board. after that was done
: i cut it into segments and hot met glued the seperate chunks down. what
: i've got to do next is steam the wood. walnut and basswood. well, it
: sounds good on paper anyway. anyone forsee problems tha i might have
: missed?
: let me know

Looks good so far. Can't tell from the pic but if hot glue is all that holds the blocks down, consider adding a screw or two to each block as well. You won't have much working time with the steamed laminations, and if a block gives up you won't have enough hands to deal with it. Keep the pix coming!
