Get a few bags of sand, or premixed dry concrete, or cinder blocks and set them on top of, and around the feet of your beam supports or sawhorses. They will add some weight and "anchor" those supports. it might not take much of a nudge to shift an unweighted strongback, but put a couple of hundred pounds of cheap sand on the base and you can kick it all day without significantly moving it. The materials are relatively cheap -- anywhere from free if you have a kid's sand box you can borrow from, or a gravel driveway you can dig up, up to maybe $10 or $$12 if you buy the stuff froma a hardware store.
If you get a bag of the dry premixed concrete (Sakrete (R) for instance) you can use it later for making an anchor, or for taking a cast of your butt so you can mold a perfectly fitting seat. Check the archives for this "Chicago Swimsuit" technique.
