: O.K......now I'm getting confused... I thought that the original suggestion
: to use the Walrus design was to build a form and them build a plywood boat
: around it, as opposed to a SOF. I thought it was just an alternative to
: get plywood boats more efficiently than the S&G method, but that we would
: end up with very similar end products. We definately want to end up with
: plywood boats with an epoxy finish, because we want them to be fairly
: rugged and to last as long as we take care of them. Please bear with me
: and help to clarify....
: Thanks, Chris

These are my Walrus forms, mounted to the bench. You can see that they are straight sided and would be very easily adapted to plywood construction. Just follow the break points on each form, possibly using a straight-edge and mark off your plywood sections. Cut them out and then you could either Stitch and Glue them, or you could cut them out, and attach them back to the forms with screws, small brads or ?? double sided tape. Then just seam them together with epoxy and or glass tape on the inside of the joints between the forms. Lift them off the forms and finish the inside job before continuing to the outside. You can shorten or lengthen the form distance and increase, or decrease the length of the boat. 16' to 18' with the same forms. Hope that clears it up a bit.
