I am ready to do the second fill coat on my stripper.Prior to the first fill coat I washed the boat and scrubbed it with a pot scrubber. Then I applied the fill coat and let it sit for about 10 days in my 45 to 50 degree garage. When I sanded it seemed kinda "gummy" and if I pressed real hard while sanding the skim coat just rolled up under the paper. The paper seemed to clog up pretty fast. If I sanded fairly lightly with sharp paper it smoothed out not too bad.
It's been sitting for over 3 weeks since I applied the first fill coat so once again I washed it with soapy water and then scrubbed it with a pot scrubber. Now I have these white patches in various places all over the boat, more of them around the tape seam at the deck and hull than anywhere else. Will these disappear under the next fill coat or shuold I try to sand them out? They seem to come out with light sanding but I don't want to sand too much on the tape seam. Anyone had this problem???
