Hi all,
I have been an advocate of using super glue and accelerator since I have been on this board because it has so many uses and will set in 5 or 10 seconds with a really strong bond. The decoration strips you see in the completed inlay photo glued up has 36 glue joints and was made in one day. The thin strips were 1/4" wide and as each one was super glued one at a time they were immediatly run through the table saw to make the strip widths running from .020 to .220. This would have taken a week using regular glue. Four 3/4" walnut strip were glued together and paralleled on the table saw before the 1/4' strips were glued and trimmed one at a time. Then the triangles were cut out after the glueing and strip saw sizing was finished. The only problem so far is I let them set overnight and they have curled some and so now I have them between two heavy books before I do my cutouts in the deck to insert them.
