Last November I was pressure grouting a concrete foundation wall with accelerated moisture-cure polyurethane resin, with working pressure of about 1500 psi. out of a low volume pump I have used for years. This chemical reacts with water and expands by a factor of 20-25, and with maximum acceleration cures in about a minute. You can probably figure out already where this is going.

I was wearing a full-face shield, but my hair was out there in the direct line of fire when a spall blew out and hosed me down with pinpoint accuracy. Truly a Kodak moment. Within 60 seconds it was fait accompli, and I went home that night sporting a very stylish white foam skullcap. I tried every trick in the book and made up a few new ones, but nothing worked. At all. Only succeeded in pulling out some hair, and that was no improvement. So I went to the pros.

They are still laughing about it at Supercuts. Cut to the chase: they couldn't get it out either. Only thing to do was cut it all off, so I wound up bald as a cueball. Some of it grew back, though. Sorry, no pic this time. Hope this helps. 8-)
