Yes, this is why I call the clearing around the house a "yard" and don't use the "L" word. A yard should be mowed once a year to keep the trees under control. I can sympathize with your tractor problems. There are a lot of orphans out there. I have a '59 Cockshutt 540, Canadian tractor in fact, for which parts are very hard to find. Nontheless, I've got $3,000 grand in it over the purchase price! Now if I can only get my hands on the right Vickers hydralic pump it'll work again. I've decided it's an antique collectible and my hobby, not something I expect to get any work out of. It sooths the pain.

There's been tremendous consolidation in the farm equipment business. Cockshutt was bought out by Oliver, which was purchased by White, which became part of New Holland-Ford which was bought by Case, a money losing subsidiary of Fiat-Allis. So I guess you could say our tractors are related.
