I have used the Flagship varnish with great results but thier Captain's varnish is virtually as good so you can save a few bucks there.

Also be cautious using acetone to remove your wax. Being a very strong solvent it is more likley to contain disolved impurities that will be left behind when it evaporates possibly interfearing with your finish. Even if there were no impurities to start with it can pull dye or other chemicals out of the rag you are using.

I would test to see if alchol or mineral spirits would remove the wax and use one of them instead.
