That much of George's response I'll second without hesitation.

The killer here is not the resin or its fumes. The killers here are the various respiratory illnesses that plague some sensitive individuals.

There is absolutely no question that asthma alone kills hundreds of people in the US each year. while inhalers and medications are greatly improved, there are still many 'triggers' which can set off an asthma attack in an affected individual.

Not all respiratory irritants will trigger major respiratory difficulties, but symptoms of minor irritation should be taken seriously. These are the body's ways of teling you that you, or someone, IS affected. Whether the irritant is truck exhaust fumes, cigar smoke or epoxy resin. rather than play doctor and try to guess the maximum extent of the irritation, the prudent thought is to get the heck away from it first and evaluate it later.

Health and safety are subjects that should be treated seriously at all times.

People, as a group, may tend to be a bit cavalier about these types of respiratory problems. I wouldn't be surprised if some of this attitude paralleled our society's attitude about cigarette smoking. We've all probably known cigarette smokers who lived long lives. Yet at the same time we've heard government reports smoking kills. Do you believe what you see, or the government? Similarly, do we believe the healthy builders, or the dire warnings of governmemt documents?

My take on this: If someone doesn't like smoke, don't blow smoke in their face.
