hello everyone,
the lamination of my cokpit coaming is going well. here is a marginally bad photo of it at an early stage. (i took this on monday) its friday and i'm almost done with bending the rim and the lip portion.
two questions here:
1.my lip as it is right now has a overhang on 3/8" i want to have a walnut on the outside edge for cosmetic reasons. is 3/8" enough? or should i go with two more layers (5/8")so the walnut is to the outside?
2. should i use epoxy ? i noticed j. munf(r)oe used an "instant" glue. i've seen some stuff at the wood store cliaming to be instant with in 20 seconds. i'd could go into a laminating frenzy if its solid in 20 seconds. its $6.and some change for a tiny bottle. could i use one bottle, tacking it into shape every few spots? or should i just stick with epoxy.
just want a few opinions here, i'm not sure so i thought i'd ask....
i hope all your projects are going smoothly,
brett the hitman hart
