: Pete.... speaking from a vast pool of ignorance, I can only add to an earlier
: reply, that when I pull up your picture, and copy it to another program
: (corelDRAW), the file (and picture) are huge.

: The first thing that comes to mind is, to ask what density setting are you
: using to take the picture in the first place? ie a "high
: quality" setting is great for photos that don't get far from your
: computer, but they don't do well on the web because they may be so large.

: A nominal (or preset) JPG conversion utility used to send photos on the web
: will help to reduce the file size, but if you are starting with several
: megs of data to begin with, the file is still pretty large. The only
: reason I know this is that in corelDRAW there is an "export"
: feature that has an adjustable slider to set the percentage of
: compression, and side by side comparison screens to preview the
: degradation that higher compressions will cause. This way one can adjust
: to an acceptable loss of detail. But the amazing thing to me, is not only
: how much compression a photo will tolerate, but also how a four million
: bit photo can be reduced to a few thousand bits with seemingly not much
: degradation.

: So the short version of all this is, if you are taking pictures in the high
: quality mode and have the option to reduce that a bit, that may be a
: fix???

: I'm sure somebody out there has far more knowledge of this than I, so have at
: it anybody. 8-)

While we are on the subject, How do I post more than one pic in the same message? I use Photopoint as a repository for my photos. I have no problem posting one pic but can't seem to do two at once, even though I can in an E-mail message.
