Thanks to you all, I have arrived at a point where all of my great auk molds are screwed to extensions and c-clamped to strongback blocks. Yes it is a blend of both books. If you remember, I had some problems with flattening my strongback. I gave up perfection and settled for 1/16" error side to side. This has come back at me a little in the form of my DWLs variance of about 1/4". I have now placed "outriggers" with strings on each side of the boat, and lined them up with the DWLs. As I sight along them I can now reallign the clamped forms to match the outrigger strings and also the keel string recommended in the Moore book. Does anyone see a problem in doing it this way? It seems really accurate to me although I have not adjusted the forms yet.
