If you mean as a pattern for another boat, I can see your point.
But as far as the Bayou 2 itself.... I'm wonder about the loss
of the secure storage area. (novice kayaker bailing out of upside
down boat) From a Stand point of both my son and I in the boat
at the same time... still less that 50 pounds of gear. Or less
than 30 (after taking into account the water sloshing around).
And I already got told how I need to put him in his own boat :-).
Long Term (next year) I sorta see a delta size boat, as my river boat/
His Camping trip boat. This of course assumes a future with me
building a boat that can carry the weight and the gear. I'm
hoping that rivers that can be negotiated by barges can be
handled by a seakayak.
Short term (this summer) it would more likely to be we take
turns with on lakes and I use alone or with new paddling friends
on weekends when I don't have visitation.
