Great Auk forms

I have a question regarding the proper fit of forms 0.5, 1, 16, and 16.5 in relation to the end forms. I have these forms cut out but when I check them against the end forms they are about 1/4 to 1/2 inch shorter vertically than the distance between the top of the end forms and the start of the end form taper. Also, the curve of the sheer along these forms (if viewed from above) appears to be concave instead of convex like the other forms. I've double-checked the forms and it looks like I cut everything correctly.

Should I just split the difference in the vertical dimension when attaching the split forms to the end forms and perhaps put a slight taper in the top of the end forms, or would it make sense to make new forms 0.5, 1, 16, and 16.5 using the "top of end form to start of taper" distance as the guide when cutting the forms into 2 pieces? (This would make the forms wider and change the curve of the sheer, if that needs adjustment). Any other suggestions?

Thanks,
Bret
