Hi Garland, Thanks for responding. If you're not careful you may convince me to do glued lapstrake: I know what you mean about the looks on a wherry, but I'm familiar and minimally experienced with strip-building. Perhaps, there's another project awaiting me. Anyway, your comments and Michael's give me confidence that such a boat won't be a floating death-trap. Thanks, Tom
