The gaps don't go through and they mostly occur in the stern where the strips are both bent and twisted. I think they are just angled more then the bead would allow the cove to go. Should I have trimmed back the bead a bit on the inside?

I only used staples on the strip at the shear line and the strip on the keel. I found that duct tape...lots of it...and "hook" clamps...lots of them...worked pretty well for the rest of the hull.

This is my first boat and I'm having so much fun it's not likely to be the last. Part of the enjoyment has been reading and learning from this board....I love this stuff:)
