In Response To: How Do I Get Smooth Fillets? (Paul Pinder)
Paul, Get some "Peel Ply" from System Three, among others. Cut it into strips about 1/2" wider than your fillets. If you are working around curves, cut the material on the bias. Do your fillets as usual being careful to cleanup any extra epoxy. Now carefully smooth the Peel Ply directly onto the fillet. I use a vinyl gloved finger to smooth and shape. You want the Peel Ply to appear wet with epoxy. After the epoxy has set, you peel the Peel Ply off. The resulting fillet needs very little or no sanding.
