hello everyone!
i was reading thru "surfer" mag the other day at borders (a tuesday traditon for me)and i read a small article on a shaper out of australia. the shaper and his small company uses a "bamboo" laminate in building surf boards. he bragged about what a great board they were making because of this bamboo. the mag had a single picture of one of the boards. very cool. it had the bamboo look but it looked similar to a thin plywod product. a veneer laminate maybe? i wonder how this stuff holds up? thought this was very interesting. has anyone on the bbs ever heard of such a wood product? the name of the shaper and his small surf company are on the tip of tonge and i can't remeber the name. i do remember there was an e-mail address. i guess i'll swing by borders tomarrow and get the e-mail address and ask the guy myself; but, in the meantime....i'll ask ever one here. my guess is if grant glotz dosen't know about it then its not worth useing.
