Boils down fairly simply in my opinion. Exposure to epoxy is like
exposure to second hand cigarrete smoke. If you have susceptibility,
it can be Brutal on you. Any exposure increases your chance of
developing related problems (even if the increase is small). People
here say they personally get bleeding sores, severe skin rash, or a
child has difficulty breathing. Everyone admits this is a minority.
Like someone with asthma having an attack triggered by Cig. smoke. Or
the smoker developing lung cancer even though he smoked briefly then
quit.
My take on this... why would anyone not want to decrease thier risks?
to avoid minor discomfort? From all that has been said here, the
time in a gas mask is relatively short for the epoxy process. Ventilate,
and try to get minimaly invasive chemicals.
