I just happened to be looking at an MSDS for a (non-kayak-related) chemical - NOT epoxy, not even consumer-oriented. It includes an interesting disclaimer:
"While [company] believes the data set forth herein are accurate as the date hereof, [company] makes no warranty with respect thereto and expressingly disclaims all liability for reliance thereon. Such data are offered solely for consideration, investigation, and verification."
If quotes like this can appear on an MSDS, then it really points out the need for "common sense" and intelligent evaluation by the user rather than relying entirely on documents provided by manufacturers.
I've left out the specific product/companty intentionally. It's not Hazmat as defined by DOT/EPA, however it recommends avoiding skin/eye contact & using an organic vapor/mist respirator.
