I was hoping that I was not the only person who noticed this. I thought about raising this issue, but felt that the overall quality of the book made up for this small problem. Having two degrees in Naval Architecture, I often take offense at people talking about drawing ships lines with french curves. The only thing worse is reference to using a T-square.
I have recently come to the conclusion that I don't want to build a boat, rather I NEED to build a boat. How can I consider my self a Navl Architect having never designed and built anything to travel about in? Nick's book has greatly reinforced my need to build a cedar strip boat. I was thinking about stripping a small cat boat though. Does anyone out there have any experience stripping a hull like this. Sorry for rambling on.
